James 2:14-18 ESV
"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and filled,' without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, 'You have faith and I have works.' Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works."

Mission

Welcome to our church food pantry, where nourishment meets compassion. At Rochester Nazarene, we extend a heartfelt invitation to join us in supporting our community through the provision of essential meals. Our pantry is a place of warmth and acceptance, where every individual is embraced with dignity and respect. Together, let's cultivate a spirit of care and kindness, ensuring no one goes without a meal on their table. Join us in this mission of sharing love through sustenance, where everyone is valued and welcomed with open arms.

We believe that food should be accessible and there is nothing shameful about needing a little help, as the body of Christ it is our duty to support one another in need, whether that be a single meal here and there or a regular need, we are here for you.

How can I help?

  • If you would like to help through donation, drop off canned or nonperishable food items at the drop off box located in the mail room below the request box.
  • Prayers are always welcomed and accepted, please pray for this mission and the people it helps.
  • If you have an inexpensive or simple “one pot” meal that you enjoy, please feel free to donate the recipe itself. Simply drop the recipe in the marked food pantry box located in the mail room.
  • Add our nonprofit to your grocery store membership card. Follow the linked instructions below to attach our pantry to your Kroger rewards. This is a no cost way for you to help. A small percentage of the shopping you already do will come right back into the pantry!
